Japan highly effective use of U.S. ODA

Japanese Finance Minister Jun Azumi has evaluated the efficiency of capital use of official development aid (ODA) of Japan in Vietnam and affirmed that the condition could, Japan's Finance Ministry will consider increase ODA to Vietnam.
 

Japanese Finance Minister had said at a meeting of Ministers of Finance of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue in the framework of official visit to Japan by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

Also at the meeting, Vuong Dinh Hue minister thanked the assistance of the Government of Japan and for Japanese projects that support has contributed positively to economic development and social in Vietnam. Although it has joined the ranks of middle income countries, but in fact Vietnam is still difficult.

Therefore, Vietnam wishes to continue to support Japanese ODA for economic development and social, which suggest the Japanese Ministry of Finance to raise loans under the Program for Poverty Reduction Support Credit (PRSC) from 3 , 5 billion yen at present to 10 billion yen in the second round of fiscal 2011.

In fiscal 2012, Vietnam Ministry of Finance also asked Japan to consider supporting a new loan in the form of budget support, or increase the level of funding under the PRSC program or programs to respond to climate change (SP-RCC), with a value of budget support loans increased by about 30 billion yen, to help Vietnam implement the scheme of restructuring the economy and respond to adverse effects of the Asian debt crisis Europe, the reduction of Government domestic borrowing, the interest to avoid pushing up domestic law.

To improve management and administration, Minister Vuong Dinh Hue also asked the Japanese side to support the training and human resource development and sharing of experience in the areas of macroeconomic stability, management of public investment, public debt management, administrative reforms to strengthen tax and customs. /.
