Today, the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) held a ceremony to sign a contract consulting services documented approval of locations for investment projects of nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan 2 for Japan Atomic Power Company Copyright (JAPC) in Hanoi.

Under the contract, JAPC will perform consulting services for 18 months. Cost of implementation consulting services by the Japanese government funding totaling about 2 billion yen (equivalent to 552 billion) by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan directly disbursed.

 Nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan 2 has a total installed capacity of about 2,000 MW to be built in Vinh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan Province, with light-water boiler technology improvements.
